Need help finding the right graduate school that fits you and your goals?
Join us on Monday, October 23 for our Workshop titled "What's the right graduate school for me?".
In this workshop, we will determine our goals for graduate school and use this to form an action plan to develop a solid list of graudate schools that will help us acheive those goals.
We will talk about aspects of graduate programs to consider, like the program size and location, plus the all importnat funding and finding a suportive research advisor.
This will be an interactive workshop where hopefully participants will leave with a much better idea of where they want to go to graduate school. Feel free to invite anyone you know that might be interested in grad school! This is open to all RIT students; just make sure to register in Campus Groups.

Unfortunately, the planned trip to Letchworth has to be cancelled due to low enrollemnt. BUT- if you are still interested in visiting Letchworth, McNair would be happy to reimburse any McNair Scholar for the entrance fee to the park.
So, talk with your friends and plan an outing together!
Stop by one of the many cider mills in the area to grab some hot apple cider and donuts on your way there (Castile Cider Mill is right by the Perry entrance) for a perfect fall excursion!! |

Rx for Sucess: Preparing for Medical School in Buffalo, NY: October 28, 2023
The University at Jacobs School, Buffalo Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and CSTEP are co-sponsoring “Rx for Success: Preparing for Medical School” on Saturday, October 28th from 9:00am – 3:00pm at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. Rx for Success is a pipeline event to assist talented underrepresented students by providing them with first-hand information via medical students, faculty and physicians who share strategies on becoming competitive applicants to medical school as well as navigating medical school. This event which includes sessions covering the nuts & bolts of applying to medical school, a panel of medical students and residents of color, the MCAT and Growth Mindset workshops, tours and hand-on activities is FREE and open to ALL students. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Join us on January 28-31, 2024 for the FIU McNair Scholars Research Conference in Miami, FL.
This year’s event is open to all disciplines and will offer a platform for undergraduate students to share their research and participate in professional development opportunities. Non-McNair students engaged in faculty-mentored undergraduate research are equally encouraged to participate.
