This workshop will fully unpack the various aspects of what it takes to be a competitive medical school applicant, as well as the steps you can take to ensure you are fully prepared for this journey. This is an excellent opportunity for any interested in learning what it takes to apply to medical school. We strongly encourage you to bring your loved ones, who should also register separately, so they too can learn and to get their questions answered.
Some topics that will be covered are the
• What goes in to the AMCAS medical school application
• Medical School Admissions Process
• Medical School Interview
• Personal & Disadvantaged Students Essay
• Medical Student panel, and so much more
PLUS MORE: In addition to all of this, SNMA will be hosting an IN PERSON mini social at the end of the workshop for those who attend in person to network and clarify any questions they may have about the medical school process. Current medical school students will be available to answer questions relating to topics such:
• Preparing for the MCAT
• Taking gap years
• The application process
• Unconventional paths to medicine
• Choosing a school once you’ve been accepted
• Life in medical school in general
The QR code on the flyer attached can be used to RSVP. There are both in-person and remote options available, but the in-person capacity will be limited. Once we have reached that capacity, any additional attendees will be given a zoom link for the event. Additionally, you are more than welcome to bring family members or friends to the event, but we ask that they also fill out the RSVP form. This is so that we can get an accurate headcount for the in-person attendees, as we will be providing lunch and snacks for the social. If you originally RSVP’d as in-person and your plans change, please reach out and let us know. If you have any questions related to the event, please reach out to neramedprep@gmail.com
Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you!
