The Fall semester is fast approaching, and the first of your research deliverables are due soon: the Participant Agreement and Faculty Mentor Contract (linked below) are due on Monday, August 12. Timely submission of these items will help us get the proper paperwork completed in time for you to receive your stipend payments on time this fall!
Note: only YOU should be signing the Participant Agreement; the PI signature will be completed internally and is NOT for your faculty mentor to sign.
Additionally, there are a few other reminders and policies for you to keep in mind for this fall:
- If you have decided not to pursue research this fall, please let us know as soon as possible; please do not wait until the deadline if you know sooner.
- We expect research to start on WEEK 1.
- It is important for all research deliverables to be submitted by the deadline. Researchers are allowed a 5-day grace period for submitting deliverables that is intended for true emergencies (i.e., a faculty mentor was out sick, a student had a family emergency, etc.). The policy is as follows:
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ
Termination of Stipend: Due Dates for Research Deliverables are very important and so is communication. If a due date is missed, the student is notified immediately and will be given a 5-day grace period to submit the deliverable. They will only be notified once. After the 5-day period expires, if the deliverable has not been received, stipends must be stopped, and student removed from the research program.
Misuse of the 5 day grace period, can result in removal from the program and/or future requests for funded research to be denied.
If you have any questions about these policies, or the forms due on August 12, please reach out to me.
Best,
Alexis
