Risk management and wellness:
Chapter is expected to attend/host at least one educational program - 20 points per program (i.e. Alcohol and Drug Education, Hazing Prevention, Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention, Mental Health, etc.) (Up to 5 program submissions with minimum 35% of RIT chapter members in attendance. Date & description of the program, name & title of the presenter and an attendance list must be submitted)
This workshop is being put on by RESTORE Sexual Assault Services specifically for members of Greek Life, to discuss topics surrounding consent and incapacitation/alcohol consumption, barriers to reporting cases to Title IX, the reporting process, an open discussion to identify and talk through issues faced by members of the Greek community, resulting trauma from incidents, how to handle a disclosure, what your options are, and checking in with those in your life affected by sexual assault.
Due to the sensitive nature of this content/the resulting discussion, this workshop will be separated into a female-identifying one for sorority members and a male-identifying one for fraternity members, to encourage comfortability when sharing during discussions. This is the registration for the female-identifying workshop intended for sorority members.
*As a note, this DOES NOT COUNT for Title IX compliance on EOSR - the trainings for that will be taking place NEXT WEEK. This will fulfill a separate EOSR goal, as stated above for either chapter development or risk management & wellness.
