The 2019 Women's Career Achievement Dinner will be held on April 22, 2019 in the RIT Gordon Field House at 6pm.

A Pre-Dinner Reception with fruit, vegetable, and cheese platters, coffee and tea, will be held from 5pm – 6pm in the Gordon Field House before the dinner.


This year's menu includes:

Tossed salad with house dressing:
Spring mix, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, onion, balsamic dressing, croutons

Fresh baked bread with butter (in baskets at guest tables)
Roasted garlic bread

Grilled chicken breast topped with goat cheese, bacon, and a balsamic drizzle (GF)
Salt, pepper, garlic, vegetable oil

Salmon topped with tomato olive relish (GF and DF)
Salt, pepper, vegetable oil, tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, green olives, olive oil, onion

Southwest vegan bowl (Vegan and GF)
Olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, butternut squash, kale, black beans, corn, red onions, jalapenos, cumin, chili powder, lime juice, with brown rice garnished with cilantro

Pea risotto (Vegetarian and GF)
Peas, vegetable stock, risotto, onions, butter, parmesan and asiago cheese, white wine

Green beans (Vegan and GF)
Olive oil, salt pepper

Assorted mini cakes


Please note this year's dinner is going to be happening during Passover, and Passover friendly meals will be offered to anyone who requests one.



The 2019 Speaker for this year's dinner is Rev. Bokwey Burnley, a Prophet of God who is also

the Co-founder and Senior Pastor of Jesus Banquet Ministries Inc. She is a passionate

social activist, an international motivational speaker, Life Coach, Chaplain

Ambassador-at-Large to the UN (a licensed Chaplain to an accredited organization

to the United Nations), and Doctor of Divinity with Word of Life Christian Fellowship, (a

Non-Governmental Organization with a Special Consultative Status in the Economic and

Social Council to the UN).



Bokwey is also a fashion designer. In June 2015, she was honored Commander of

The Most Excellent Order of International Experts (COIE) in Fashion Design and Life Coaching.



Bokwey was awarded honorary Doctor of Humane Letters and also Doctor of Divinity by

CICA / Word of Life Christian Fellowship (WOLCF) in 2013. They appointed her

Regional Vice-Chancellor of CICA-International University and Seminary for West Africa

in 2013.



In September 2015, she was presented with an Outstanding Leadership and Service Award

by the International Association of African NGOs alongside Former President of Malawi,

Joyce Banda. At the 2015 United Nations Sustainable Development Summit she was a

delegate, as well as, a delegate and Speaker at the 2016 and 2017 African Union Gender Summit

held in Ethiopia and Rwanda, respectively. In 2016, she was appointed President of Peace and

Justice for Africa. In that same year, she was conferred the award of "Iconic Women in Breast Cancer

Care" by the ALL LADIES LEAGUE Women Economic Forum, and appointed WEF Buffalo City New

York Chapter Chairperson.



Currently, she is collaborating with AU endeavors with participating Diaspora groups to form a

coalition aimed at enhancing Diaspora contributions and involvement in the deliberations of

the AU towards the development of the African Continent. She supports efforts in finding a

cure for the Ebola virus, improve public health systems, and assist affected countries in coping

with the devastating and crippling economic impact of the Ebola crisis. In the United States, some

of her work involves organizing fashion shows for raising funds and awareness about serious

problems like breast cancer, human trafficking, the child soldiers plight and their rehabilitation.



She resides in Dunkirk, NY, with her husband and five children. Two of her daughters are currently

RIT Tigers!

Additional tables are available at $280 per table. Individual tickets may be purchased for $35 by RIT affiliated people only. Individual tickets must be paid for in the form of cash or check by April 15th, 2019. Please bring payment to the Center for Women and Gender office.
