Momentum III: EUREKA!

Momentum III: EUREKA! is an annual event open to all RIT students who are passionate about using their skills to initiate social change. Students will work alongside a community organization that has a challenge or opportunity that could benefit from our help with a fresh perspective or approach. In a 48-hour timeframe, multi-level and interdisciplinary teams collaborate with stakeholders of the community organization to propose solutions following the project prompt. The event concludes with team presentations to a panel of experts who select one proposal to go forward toward implementation.

Path 1: How can we create an inspiring, engaging Hall of Fame experience that brings Rochester's business leaders to life for future generations?

Path 2: How might we create a new and innovative Impact Report (both digital and printed) to communicate JA’s impact with our Paychex JA Discovery Center programming?

The schedule for Momentum III is as follows:

Thursday October 22
Introduction and Kick-Off
SHED 3300
6:30-8:30PM

Participants will take this time to connect with the CLCE, EUREKA! and Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York for an introduction of the program and information about the main prompt. Participants will also take this time to review the leadership skills necessary for the program and review the importance of using a strengths-based approach in leading change.

Friday October 23
200 West Ridge Road, #1, 3rd Floor, Rochester, NY 14615

Participants should promptly arrive to Bamboo Room 2610 at 9:00 am, as the bus will pick the participants up at 9:30 am. The bus will depart at 5:00 pm.
Please dress for the weather.

Saturday October 24
SHED 3350

Teams meet at assigned times with alumni facilitators
Teams arrive at presentation location by 4:00 PM
Final Presentations at 5:00 PM

Feedback and Implementation Concepts selected 7:00 PM

Food will be provided.
