Hello RIT365 Facilitators!
We are all halfway through our first semester! We’ve really liked getting into your classes for observations. Hopefully you enjoy the upcoming Fall break!
In this week’s issue:
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Gradebooks: Please keep your myCourses gradebook up to date. It’s important for students to know their standing in the class, especially if they are missing work.
- Individual Reflections: As noted on class schedules, these are assigned at the end of each Reflect class and are due before the next class meeting.
- Remember to grade on the rubric and share feedback to students within the myCourses gradebook.
- Do not cancel class for any reason! Even if there is a last minute emergency, contact the YOP team if there is a need for someone to cover your class. We are here to support you.
- Resources reminder: Remember that myCourses, Individual Reflection, coaching support, and tutorials are available on the Facilitators Resources site.
NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS WITH CAMPUS LIFE
Every year, we partner with Campus Life for the “No Tricks, Just Treats” Halloween event! Encourage your students to join in the fun!
- Start at the check-in table in CPC-1740 Kathy Hall Conference Room
- Collect the location cards and treat bags.
- Visit the offices listed on the location sheet.
- Each office will mark that the student has completed that location.
- Once the card is complete, return to the tiger suite to be entered to win a mini–Boo Basket.
- Date: October 30, 2026, from 10 AM - 2:00 PM.
- It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and explore new areas on campus!
ROAR AND SOAR
Reminder for Facilitators: Every Sunday, Academic Affairs sends students a “Roar and Soar” email with timely reminders and success strategies. Your role is to remind students that Roar and Soar emails are delivered every Sunday with helpful tips and links to keep them on track. You can use the information below to direct students to the email when they have questions about these topics.
Roar and Soar Week 8 (Oct. 11)
- Theme: Brick City Weekend – Encourage students to take time to connect with friends, classmates, family, and alumni and make the most of it.
- Tips:
- Invite friends and family. Remind students that they can explore a wide range of fun events inside and outside their major at Brick City Weekend.
- Sign Up Early. Some Brick City events fill up quickly, so it's worth signing up ahead of time
- Check out college-specific events.
- Event reminders:
- October Break: Oct 12-13
- Just a reminder for first-year students that there are no classes Oct 12 or 13 to give students a break, a chance to travel, or rest before midterms.
