OUTspoken Newsletter? In my inbox? It's more likely than you think!
We're back babey! We'll be sending out a newsletter like this every Friday with information on upcoming events and other cool stuff.
Now, starting from the closest events, tonight is the Friday event for ritGA's rainbow week, Gayme Night! Gayme Night will be tonight, the 20th, from 8pm to midnight in the Sol Activity Lounge. It's on the first floor of the Sol dorm, next to the tutoring center. We'll have a bunch of video games, card games, and board games that people are bringing, but if you have anything you want to play, feel free to bring it! The last event of rainbow week will be ice skating at Ritter Ice Arena from 8 to 10pm tomorrow night. All you need to do is let the staff know you're with ritGA when you get there.
But wait! There's more! MCAS is also hosting their professional development conference tomorrow from noon to 4:30 pm at Ellie's Place in the SDC. There will be that focus on wellness/identity, academic success, and career/graduate school prep, along with a free LinkedIn headshot! Once it's over, our friends over at ACA will be hosting a social event too. The attire is business/business casual, and you register here.
In October there will be a bunch of events, but right now I'll just mention three. We'll be having another Lavender Tour on Thursday, 10/3, and it's open to everyone! The week after that we'll be having another PridePrints event from noon to 3:30 on Friday, 10/11 in the Infinity Quad, where we make a pride flag out of handprints. We had this event in the past, but this year we're doing something new. Right after the event is done, we're going to use the banner in our own pride parade! We will go from the Infinity Quad to the Sundial starting at around 3:30 and we'll have all sorts of cool things for everyone! There will be more information regarding these coming soon in another newsletter, but you can also stay tuned by following us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
That's about it for this week's newsletter. Bear with me as I try different formats and other stuff to try and make this newsletter as Not Bad as possible.
